I'm trying to work with the evaluation board ad7781EBZ with windows-7, is it possible?
I installed the evaluation board software and connected a load cell to the board,
I also followed the instruction of the user-guide to remove the LK1 to LK4 jumpers.
I installed the software as mention in the user guide before connecting the board to my PC
when running the software (weighscale demo)I don't get the expected results , is it because I'm working with windows 7?
in the user-guide it is mentioned to work with windows XP or windows 2000.
I'll be glad to get an advice of what can I do, to be able to start working
We are looking into this. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Thanks and Best Regards,Chris
I glad to say that the AD7781EVB works with windows 7.
in the user guide ( and the EVB software ) its mentioned to remove LK1 to LK4,
doing that disconnect the load cell from the excitation voltage.
I kept LK3 and LK4 and removed LK1 and LK2 and it works.
trying to open the schematic file from http://www.analog.com/CN0108-DesignSupport
with Orcad resolves with a file error message.
can you send me please a schematic file that works?
is anyone succeeded to open the schematic file for the AD7781 evaluation board with Orcad???
I get a file error message when opening the file
Are you using a 6-wire load cell? The user guide tells users to connect a 6-wire load cell to J3/J4. Exciting the load cell is the AVDD connected to pin 1 of J3, hence, Links 1 to 4 should be removed.
AD7781 schematic file is done in PADS so you'll need PADS Viewer to open/view it. I haven't tried Orcad but if it has built-in translator for PADS, then you only need to import the file.
