Conversion Delay between two channel reading and ADC sequence read


Hi Friends,

Currently I am using ADC7091R-8 with All eight channel enabled , I am giving start conversion and reading channel in sequence mode , between each channel read i am giving 250 uSec delay. with this delay only i am getting consistent values I need to avoid this 250 usec delay to read 400Hz sine input. Please suggest.

    Hi Arvind,

         The AD7091R-8 when in the channel sequencer mode, the conversion result of each channel has one conversion delay latency and the channel sequence start from the lowest channel to the highest channel. Figure 55, pp.36 of the datasheet shows the channel sequencer with channels 4 to 5 are enabled.  May I know the throughput rate of your application? The AD7091R-8 has a maximum of 1MSPS throughput rate. Where do you measure the 250us? Is it the high time of /CS? Please share scope shots of the digital signals so we can have a better understanding of the problem.
