The AD7400A is Sigma Delta modulator. The clock is internally generated and will drive the modulator. Then both clock and modulator MDAT signal are transferred across the isolation and appear at the microcontroller at the same time. The delay to cross this is very minimal. The AD7400A is a Sigma Delta modulator and requires filter which will add majority of the delay.
