AD7767 SNR vs ODR

Hi All,

 

Sigma-Delta ADC such as AD7794 has data of SNR vs ODR (Output Data Rate) performance in its data sheet.

Can I see the same SNR (or ENOB) vs ODR data of the AD7767 ADC?

    Hi Ricky,

       Good day.

       The AD7767 has 3 parts AD7767, AD7767-1 and AD7767-2. Each of this part has its own decimation rate. The output data rate is derived form MCLK frequency/decimation rate. The implicit way to look at SNR vs ODR, would be the figure 20 of the datasheet. This is a graph of SNR vs MCLK. Now each represent an ODR. The ODR of 32khz has the best SNR result at around ~113dB.

       Are you looking for a particular ODR for your application?  May I now the application that you are trying to build. On the first page of the datasheet, there is a related devices section that showed other products that are similar and have variable decimation rate. You can also try to check these parts, most of it are sigma delta ADCs.

    Now I understood that the decimation rate of AD7767, AD7767-1 and AD7767-2 are fixed.

    I will choose different type listed in the data sheet which you suggested.
