AD537SD Timing capacitor failure?

 
What happened if there is timing capacitor failed to open, or short (the capacitor connected pin 11 and pin 12 across)

 
Will it affect on the Vcc, Vin and Vout? Will the AD537 be stressed if the failure of Ct  is open or short?

       The capacitor C is the timing capacitor and affect the output of the AD537.  On the block diagram, the current to frequency converter will be driven by a current which charges the C. The C values or status affects the output as shown in the formula  f= I/(10.5C). A failed capacitor would result to no output or incorrect output.
