Development board for AD7124-4

I was wondering if there was a development board for the AD7124-4. The evaluation kit EVAL-AD7124-4SDZ, but I can't seem to access the MISO, MOSI, SCK, CS lines (or am I missing something?). I'm primarily looking for writing a driver for my AD7124-4 and I want to test it on a vendor provided board first.

  • Hi,

EVAL-AD7124-4SDZ can be used as a standalone board for development or in conjunction with the EVAL-SDP-CB1Z system demonstration platform board with PC software executable controls. We also have a Wiki page for AD7124 driver that you can use as a reference. Please refer to this link below.

  • Hi Jellenie,

Thanks for your reply. But the link you posted seems to be for the AD7175. I want for AD7124-4. I currently have the EVAL-AD7124-4SDZ in my possession. How can I use it as a standalone board without the EVAL-SDP-CB1Z. I want access to the SCK, MOSI, MISO, CS lines.

    1. Is there a way I can do that?

    2. Also, how can I experiment the 'NO OS driver' for AD7124-4 on the EVAL-AD7124-4SDZ?

  • Hi, Jay.

Apologize. I have edited the link page.

    1. Yes, to operate the EVAL-AD7124-4SDZ in standalone mode, the AD7124-4 serial interface lines can be disconnected from the 120-pin header by removing the 0 Ω links, R9 through R13. The test points can then be used to connect it to other controller.

    2. You can use the driver as it is for AD7124 configuration. However, the actual SPI communication settings or functions will depends on the desired type of processor and communication protocol.
