We are working with a customer for making one capacitive sensor for detecting finger placement, end application would be for security, eliminating switches for lighting control and access control. It is one innovative product that will eliminate mechanical switches and will add the feature for controlling activation time.
I have two questions:
1) Where is the AD7156 I2C address configuration? We want to possibly add in the same line more than one device.
2) Regarding working with multiple inputs, I see the AD7147 has this possibility, but is there any tradeoff in the quality for this application? I see this chip has not separate excitation pins and it muxes internally. This is because the type of sensor that it is designed for and I would like to have one explanation regarding floating capacitive sensors against single electrode for this application.
