AD74413R difference between ADC_SAT_ERR and ADC_CONV_ERR?

Hello,

what is the exact difference between SAT_ERR and CONV_ERR?

In datasheet, both meant to be for out of the setup measurement range.

    Hi,

Apologies for missing this item. I am not sure if it still relevant to you that this question will be answered, However, we are clearing up some open items in our community and ensure that any query is located on its proper community as others who have similar concern or issues may still find this useful.

I am not an expert of this product but guess since the ADC is a sigma delta ADC there are two main blocks involved in this. The modulator and the digital filter.

The ADC_SAT_ERR is set if the modulator has saturated (if it usually outputs consecutive numbers of 1's or 0s). So if the ADC input is outside the measurement range. The ADC_CONV_ERR flag is set if there is an overflow or underflow in the digital filter. So If the voltage measured by the ADC is either above full scale or below zero scale, an ADC_CONV_ERR bit is set.

    Thanks,

    Jellenie
