Difference between DC2412A-A and DC2412A-B

I wonder what the difference between DC2412A-A and DC2412A-B is. I know that the former one uses 18 bit ADC while the latter uses 16 bit ADC. What else? Are the FPGA and the program on it the same on these two boards? In other words, does DC2412A-B work like a DC2412A-A if I simply replace its ADC by a LTC2335-18?

No, you cannot just replace the ADC and expect DC2412A-B to work like DC2412A-A. It is also necessary to place a 0 ohm resistor in the R61 position and either reprogram eeprom U24 with the proper config string or manually tell PScope that the ADC is 18-bits. PScope can be manually told the number of bits int the Configure menu by selecting ADC configuration.)
