ADA4940-1 and AD7982 connection

Hi

In ADC and driver simulation tool, there is only one option "INVERT" for ADA4940-1 connecting to AD7982. I don't want my ADC reading reverse. Can I cross connection, which means  ADA4940-1 Out+ connecting to AD7982 In-, while ADA4940-1 Out- connecting to AD7982 In-? Please refer to attached picture for detail. That will save MCU instructions to revert the reading. Is that all right?

  • Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

That's correct, you can connect ADA4940-1 OUT- to AD7982 IN+ to ensure the signal as drawn in the schematic above is in phase between between the signal source and the ADC output codes.

Alternatively, if the signal source in the schematic above was switched to the IN+ side of the ADA4940-1, then the signal would also be in phase.

    Thanks,

    Tyler
