AD7321 output serial data in single-ended mode

Question

for AD7321 when it is single-ended mode, the output is 12bits, 
 
 My concern is when in single-ended mode, which bits are useful in the first figure? sign bit + DB11-DB1 or DB11-DB0? 
 Looking forward to your answer.

Hi Maggie, 
 The 13th "bit" in single-ended/pseudo diff mode is just noise, and can be discarded. This is the LSB on the diagram. 
 Is there a specific issue that you see when you are reading the data back in your application? What processor are you using to interface to the AD7321?
