LTC2335-16 ISOLATOR

Hi,

I need a digital isolator to isolate LTC2335-16. 

Unfortunately I didnt understand Mbps ratio for digital isolators.

Is 150Mbps ratio  OK?

    The LTC2335-16 requires a clock frequency between 45MHz and 60MHz to operate at its full speed. 45MHz is for data transfer only. 60MHz is for data, channel and range info. You will need a digital isolator with a minimum of 45Mbps (mega bits per second) to run the LTC2335-16 at full speed. I would suggest using the LTM2895. It is rated up to 100Mbps, so it should easily handle the LTC2335-16. The interface would be similar to Figure 13 of the LTM2895 data sheet.

    First of all thank you for attention.

    When ı examine the datasheet of LTC 2335-16, SCKI period is 10nS or 100MHz and a minimum time of CMOS I/O mode is 1ns, which belongs SDI hold time from SCKI.

    I confused about clock frequency

    For example;

    if my clock frequency is 100MHz, Do ı have to select 100Mbps isolator and can ı ignore minimum times like belongs SDI hold time from SCKI ?

  • 10ns is the minimum clock period. As stated previously only 45MHz to 60MHz SCKI frequency is required for full speed operation. The isolator must be capable of at least the clock frequency you intend to use and you cannot ignore the hold and setup times.
