In the AD7173-8 ADC, the default gain value is said to depend on the IC type. In the datasheet, the value is mentioned as
Reset: 0x5XXXX0. But I couldn't find the exact value in the datasheet anywhere.

Hi,
Yes, gain registers are configured at power-on with factory calibrated coefficients. Therefore, every device has different default coefficients. X is a don't care which is an unknown or random value. So any value of x does not matter as long as the gain register read back 0x5XXXX0.
