Hello,
I am new to DACs and need help setting up a (AD9171+ FX3 module+ KCU105) to transmit an arbitrary IQ stream generated in MATLAB at a specific bit rate.
I followed an example in a guide to transmit at 368.64MSPS. Please see below.

And in DPG downloader,

The combined text file that was uploaded into DPG downloader has the Q data appended to the I data generated in MATLAB with a 368.64MHz sample rate. The spectrum analyzer shows an output as expected.
I get a baseband spectrum (just like in matlab) upconverted to a center frequency of 2.25GHz.
Now I want to transmit at a much lower speed. Say 7.68MHz. How do I setup this platform with 7.68MSPS rather than the default 368.64MSPS? Is there a way to divide down the onboard 122.88MHz reference (HMC7044 PLL) to 7.68MHz, without resorting to an external clock input on J41 or J34 on the AD9171 module test board? The wiki at https://wiki.analog.com/resources/eval/dpg/ad917x-fmc-ebz seems to suggest having to move capacitors around to feed in an external clock at J34.

As you can see below, I cant get this configuration to lock.

Basically I need confirmation that to upconvert at such a low rate, I need to shut off the onboard 122.88MHz clock and feed in my own reference.
Thanks
