AD9106 DDS amplitude modulation; are amplitude RAM entries signed?

Category: Hardware
Product Number: AD9106

I would like to use the AD9106 to output several waveforms.  Ultimately I would like to output two standard DDS sine waves at frequency Fe, which should be no problem.

In addition to this, I would like to output a second tone at a different frequency. I know that it's possible to amplitude modulate the DDS output using a RAM lookup table (as seen in https://ez.analog.com/data_converters/high-speed_dacs/f/q-a/22664/for-ad9106-how-to-output-sine-single-with-amplitude-modulated?queryID=dc84d3e3041f0b81f63383b908b50662&objectId=5075a010-4ab8-4d59-b8a6-d7d3f572a4b5&eztype=Forum%20Thread).

My question is: when using RAM lookup table to apply amplitude modulation to the DDS output, is it possible to put negative amplitude modulation values in?  Will the AD9106 output respect them?
