Hello,

I have a question about generating a chirp waveform using DPG-Lite.
Our customer wants to generate a complex(I/Q) chirp waveform but the function of "Chirp"
in "Add Generated Waveform" can not generate complex mode.
Therefore he tried two chirp waveforms, one is 0 degrees "Relative phase" and the other is 90 degrees "Relative phase",
and he and  I saved the waveforms to check. But the two waveforms are the same. It is not a difference of 90 degrees.  
The setting of DPG-Lite is as follows;



The saved data file of "1" and "2" are the same.

Is DPG-Lite not able to adjust a phase in generating a chirp waveform?

    It is a bug from DPG Lite where the relative phase settings doesn't affect the waveform data. Alternatively, Vector Generator in ACE Software can be used. Vector generator can add, create, preview, import and export vector files.

    To create Chirp Waveform using vector generator, follow the steps below:

    1. Open ACE, click Vector Generator on the left side tab pane.  
    2. Under Common dropdown, Chirp Vector can be selected on the list.
    3. Click ( ) to add the vector to Generate window where the vector can be configured, preview and export.
    4. Set the Data Rate, Start and Stop Freq, Resolution, and Relative Phase.
      1. In your case, add 2 chirp vector then set relative phase to 0 and 90 degrees.
    5. After Preview, vector can be exported thru Export button.
      1. In your case, export the two vectors created.
    6. Then, open DPG Lite to load the vectors created.
    7. Click Add Data File ( ) to load the vector files (.txt).
    8. DPG Lite can also preview the vectors loaded using the Graph Selected Vectors ( ).
    9. Vectors loaded can now be selected in Data Playback selection.

    Note: If Generate Complex Data is used in vector generator, it will export the I&Q data alternately (I data in odd numbers and Q data in even numbers).
