AD9779A Timing Optimization

I have a couple of questions regarding the Timing Optimization feature of the AD9779A DAC:

- The datasheet states "The Data Timing Margin[3:0] variable determines how much before and after the actual data sampling point the margin test data are latched." What are the units of this variable i.e. if I set this variable to "0001" when exactly is the margin test data latched relative to the actual sampling point? (e.g. 0.25ns/0.5ns/1ns before and after?)

- When using Automatic Timing Optimization, do the input data specifications still apply? Those being 3ns setup time and -0.05ns hold time. If so, would I need to set the Data Timing Margin variable to the equivalent of 3ns or greater to ensure it meets this setup time?
