We are intending to use AD9783 for our new TETRA base station application.
Please suggest if it is active production (Recommended for new projects).
I posted a few questions regarding this device and not getting any answers (link to the questions are given below).
We made a prototype and experiencing thermal problems related to this DAC. I posted several questions regarding this and failed to get answers.
Now we intend to change the device.
We have used AD9125 before and they have not specified any thermal degradation in the specification. AD9783 graphs show degradation in INL and DNL due to thermal variation.
So sorry for this slipping through for so long. Just in case you are still needing answers, here is a start.
The AD9783, as indicated on the product page is still in full production and can be used in new designs. One temperature related adjustment that may need to be made (depending on the DAC clock rate) is in the data input timing. See the "OPTIMIZING THE PARALLEL PORT TIMING" section of the data sheet for details.
It sounds like you have moved on to the AD9125. This or the AD9121/22 would be our recommendation above 250Msps DAC rates.
Please confirm that you no longer need support for the AD9783 and I will close this case. Again, my apologies for not getting back to you sooner
You may close this case.
We have sorted it out.
