I am trying to add data file (by using DPG Downloader software ) to AD9162 . i know that i have to Generate a file with the following criteria: a. Text file, signed integer b. One value per linec. minimum value= -2^(bits-1)-1, (for 16 bit DAC this is –(2^15-1) = -32767d. maximum value = 2^(bits-1)-1, (for 16 bit DAC this is (2^15-1) = 32767e. file length divisible by 256
my question is how to add complex data? i have attached my data which comes out of complex waveform . could anyone help please.
That is correct. Create two separate files for I and Q and add them separately into DPGDownloader. Select them both as vectors and it should work
thank you for your reply .I have did what you said and added both I and Q seperatly but when i use VSA to calculate EVM i need both I and Q to be loaded not separatly.
so is it possible to get both once out of DAC ?
After two I and Q files are created, load them both to DPG-D, use ">1x" interpolation option. Select I vector for I entry and Q vector for Q entry.
If the interpolation on the DAC configuration is more than 1x (in ACE) DAC combines both signal together and outputs a complex signal.
