Hello
I m using DAC AD9106 I have a small confusion about DAC SPI port all Registers Address and data are 16 bit but my question is if we using PIC32 MCU what will the SPI Width setting It will 8 Bit Mode or 16 Bit Mode ?
Thanks

Hello Nome,
It is 16bit.

Thanks for your Reply
Actually We are sending 350 multi tones pattern to AD9106. Shapes of Tones is perfect as i need on Spectrum Analyzer but number of Multi-tones we are getting below of 100 it mean we are not getting hole width.
Actually we have RF signal generator they use 32 bit MCU I read and save hole spi pattern from our logic Analyzer 350 numbers of Multi-Tones Then I resend to our same 32 bit MCU
every thing is perfect as i seen on Logic Analyzer read pattern and Write pattren but Issue is number of Tones
I read carefully again AD9106 pdf I realize its all Address and data is 16 bit and We are on 8 bit spi width
what will your opinion where I m wrong ?
Thanks

Hello Nome,
Are you storing 350 patterns on the SRAM? Is it possible that you exceeded the 4k range?

Thanks for your Reply
350 not patterns data its quantity of Multi-Tones I m sending 350 Tones with 200khz space Between each tones
shape of Tone is perfect as we need. But quantity of Tone is Below of 100 that was I m asked
I m sending All address and data on Spi 8 bit width my be Issue is it ?
Thanks

Hello Nome,
AD9106 doesn't support 8bit SPI.

Hello
Sir
can I send 8 bit two bytes for Data and 8 bit two bytes for Addresses?
Thanks

Hello Nome,
Is the 1st trace SDIO, 3rd SCLK, 4th CS_b and perhaps 5th R/W_b? I think it should work assuming that SCLK and SDIO are properly aligned.

Will
Hello
Thanks for your reply Sir
Check This one !
Thanks
Nome
I think it should work. Although I won't be able to verify it on our set-up.
