We have ideas of using AD9254 for our communication device project.
What I want to know is the dynamic range support by the ADC. I am planning to
use it from -60dBm to -10dBm.
What parameter determines this? I am planning to use the single transformer
coupled circuit suggested in the datasheet.
For dynamic range from -60dbm to -10dbm, it means the input peak to peak
voltage can be changed from 632.5uV to 200mV. As far as AD9254 is considered,
the resolution of this part is 14bit. Assuming 1V reference is used, one LSB
equals to 122uV approximately. Even the noise feature is concerned(1.3LSB rms),
the dynamic range can still be met.
