Question
1. Does AD9288 (8-bit A/D) accept 0.5V or 1.0V reference voltage ?That is,
REFinA or RefinB = 0.5V or 1.0V ?
2. Can I simply feed in my single-ended analog signal to AinA (or AinB)and
ground the corresponding complementary input (i.e. AinA_bar or AinB_bar) ? Do
I lose accuracy or performance by not buffering the differential inputs by Op
Amps ?
Answer
For your first question, AD9288 reference voltage is from 1.2 to 1.3. It cannot
support 0.5 to 1.0V.
Yes, you can just feed the singel-ended signal to the Ain and Bin. But
the performance is not good as the differential inputs. For best dynamic
performance, impedance at Ain and Ain_bar should match.
