Question
1) What is the variation of the aperture delay time for the AD9410 and AD9054
ADCs from part to part.
2) What is the temperature dependence of the aperture delay time for the AD9410
and AD9054 ADCs.
Answer
1) What is the variation of the aperture delay time for the AD9410 and AD9054
ADCs from part to part.
This is characterized in the Aperture Jitter (uncertainty) spec, 0.65ps rms for
the AD9410, 2.3ps rms for the AD9054A.
It is likely that quality distribution of the ENCODE signal in your system will
the major factor in determining aperture uncertainty between two ADCs.
2) What is the temperature dependence of the aperture delay time for the AD9410
and AD9054 ADCs.
Unfortunately we only test aperture jitter at 25degC. I'll check if we have
more data available.
IF you are concerned about having two well matched ADCs in terms of sampling
instant, consider using a dual such as the AD9288, AD9218 but of course you
won’t get up to 200Msps.
