Question
Can you confirm a package change on the AD9245 IC ? Before the pads were visible/accessible from the top of the IC, now the epoxy overhangs the padsmaking them invisible from the top view.
Answer
The CP-32-2 package was used on all AD9245 part numbers before 23 March 2012. There was a PCN issued with effectivity of 23 March 2012. The PCN11_0104 outlines Conversion of Select Sizes of LFCSP Package Outlines from Punch to Sawn and Transfer of Assembly Site to ASE-Korea. This resultedin a change in the package outline from CP-32-2 (Punched LFCSP) to CP-32-7 (Sawn LFCSP) on all AD9245 part numbers.
You can find the full details of this PCN by clicking on the PCN link either using the link provided below or the PCN link provided on the AD9245product page in the Sample & Buy section.PCN 11_0104:http://www.analog.com/media/en/pcn/ADI_PCN_11_0104_Rev_C_Form.pdf
