Can DC890B evaluation board interfaced in any way other than using QuikEval or PScope?

Hi, I'm currently exploring my options for using LTC2378-20 ADC and have gone through few evaluation boards and decided on using DC1925A module with DC890B board. In the documentation of DC890B, I've seen that data can be interfaced using either QuicEval-2 or PScope softwares but what I want is to know is that can I access the raw data sent by DC890B on my computer without using one of these software. Its preferable for us to have access to the raw data instead of going to the evaluation software every time and saving it to excel file, we'll be using python to handle the rest of the tasks and having an option to capture the data from DC890B board using the same code would be of great help for us. Can any look into this problem and let me know if this is possible. Thanks in advance.high-speed adc

  • Thanks for the quick reply Mr. Hoover. I see that you are the applications engineer for the DC1925A board and I have few questions regarding the same.

    1) I see that the ADC is driven by a LT6203 amplifier, input voltage offset of this amplifier is 700uV and that is a lot for our application, so can you let me know why this amplifier is selected for this board?

    2) Also, I wanted to know if I can swap out this amplifier on board to a different amplifier having similar pin-out and packaging? I am looking at these option AD8652, AD8618 low offset as amplifier as drop-in replacement for LT6203 amplifier on board. Is it okay to do this?  or do you have any other alternative I can try?
