Product Number: AD9286
1. Starting a new project that requires an 8 bit, low power, single channel, 250 MSPS ADC. The lowest power ADC that I see is the AD9286 which is a dual channel that can run at 500 MSPS. I figure that I would save even more power by setting the sample rate to 250 MSPS and using only one channel. Is there another low power option that is only single channel? It seems like a waste to buy a dual channel part and only utilize half of it.
2. If I choose the AD9286, could I drive the input with an AD8330 variable gain amp? We have been using the AD8330 in our current design for over 20 years. I plan on still using the AD8330 since it fits our design nicely (as long as it is not going to be discontinued).
