HMCAD1511-EBZ and SDP-H1 Questions

I have recently received these two parts and I have them up and running with the ACE software, but I have some questions.

1. What is the functionality of the external trigger input, I can see that it is fed into the FPGA, and that I can enable it in the FPGA register map, but there is no explanation as to what the actual result is.

 

2. Is there any sample FPGA code available, so that I can better understand its functionality.

3. Is there any way of accessing the data stream from the SDP-H1 via an API, it seems to use python so it would be logical to make this available.

    Using the external trigger input, the user has precise control on the data capture timing by sending a pulse to the EXT_TRIG input, unlike when using ACE Run button which has delays from PC to SDP-H1.

    3. Is there any way of accessing the data stream from the SDP-H1 via an API, it seems to use python so it would be logical to make this available.

    It is possible, but right now, we are resource-constrained, and requesting for an API will take a long time. Thus, we can't guarantee.
