Hi
I am DFAE in Japan.
Input Span is 2Vp-p at VREF=2V according to AD9226 Datasheet.
Is it OK for VINA to amplitude from 2V to 4V and VINB to amplitude from 4V to 2V?
Then “VINA-VINB” amplitude from -2V to +2V.
Best regards

Hi Kokubo-san,
Input span is 2Vp-p at VREF=2V.
At common-mode voltage = 3V, VINA should swing from 2.5V to 3.5V & VINB should swing from 3.5V to 2.5V.
VINA-VINB should be from -1V to +1V.
See sample image below for your condition based on Figure 7 from the datasheet.

Hi Peevee -san,
Thank you for prompt reply.
Input span is 2Vp-p at VREF=2V and VINA swings from 2.5V to 3.5V & VINB swings from 3.5V to 2.5V.
VINA-VINB swings from -1V to +1V.
Then Binary Code does not swing from 0000 0000 0000 to 1111 1111 1111 1111.
Binary Code swing only from 0100 0000 0000 to 1011 1111 1111 according to Table IV in AD9226 Datasheet.
Is my understanding correct?
Best regards,
N.Kokubo
Hi Kokubo-san,
Thank you for pointing this out.
Then Binary Code does not swing from 0000 0000 0000 to 1111 1111 1111 1111.
Yes you are correct.
I'll ask my other team members about your initial concern.
Input Span is 2Vp-p at VREF=2V according to AD9226 Datasheet.
Is it OK for VINA to amplitude from 2V to 4V and VINB to amplitude from 4V to 2V?
Then “VINA-VINB” amplitude from -2V to +2V.
I'll get back to you once I get some clarification.
Best regards,
Peevee
Hi Kokubo-san,
I was able to get feedback from the team.
The Table IV have a mistake. See the corrected table below:
Input span is 2Vp-p at VREF=2V and VINA swings from 2.5V to 3.5V & VINB swings from 3.5V to 2.5V.
VINA-VINB swings from -1V to +1V.
Then Binary Code does not swing from 0000 0000 0000 to 1111 1111 1111 1111.
Using the correct output data format, the Binary code will swing from 0000 0000 0000 to 1111 1111 1111.
Thank you very much for pointing this out.
We'll take note of this.
Best regards,
Peevee
