Hello guys
My name is Fernando, I work for the Brazilian National Synchrotron Light Source.
We are designing a fast and broadband four channel digitizer for beam diagnostic pourposes for the next Brazilian light source. The AD9467BCPZ-250 is a natural option for our design, since there is no other 16-bit faster ADC.
Reviewing the AD9467 specs’ we were inquiring ourselves about the relatively high temperature gain drift, +/- 360 ppm according the datasheet. In our application, the behavior of the four digitized signals must be as similar as possible, so uneven temperature drifts in ADCs would cause big problems. Note that even with a +- 0.1 °C temperature control for the 4 ADCs in the board, we still would be exposed to a few tens of bits drift.
The main question here is: are these specs on temperature drifts overestimated? Do you have further data of the Min and Max values for this parameter? do you suggest any idea to minimize this problem?
Thanks in advance for helping. Any comment of temperature stability of fast ADCs will be appreciated.
With my best regards
Fernando Henrique Cardoso
