I have been reading about DSL and the HDSL2 technology seems to meet my requirements of transmitting/recieving data (up to 4 speech channel) over a simple 2 wire media. The AD6622 & AD6623 seems to be a suitable device but that they are obsolete of not recommeded for new designs.
Is there a single chip solution for HDSL2 and any substitute for the AD6622 & AD6623?
Thanks for your help
I've moved this to the Data Converters group, who will be better positions to address your query on these parts.
These devices were very good solutions for many of our customers communications applications when they were developed many years ago, but the increasing use of FPGA technology has overtaken their use and we no longer recommend them for new applications.
That explains why similar devices were obsolete or not recommeded. FYI: I also notice that the DSL technology is changing rapidly (HDSL, ADSL, G.Lite, SHDSL, RADSL, VDSL) so it must be pretty difficult for manufacturer to fab.
