In the Datasheet of AD9253, it is mentioned that the maximum input analog signal to the ADC should not exceed +2.0V (Vin+x to DGND).
Are there any way to protect DAC from higher input voltage? We are having a AGC module at the input of ADC, however during development phase of the project, we are worried that AGC may boost the signal beyond +2V and permanently damage the ADC. Can we add TVS varistors across input of the ADC? Will they affect the integrity of the input signal? Please suggest any other suitable protection method.
