I gather that the 9560 & 9561 chips were developed to support laser printers in which gray scales were implemented through PWM. My company is developing a sort of a laser printer with the same needs. The 9561 chip is marked as "Obsolete" in its data sheet even though it is described as the "second generation" chip (after the 9560 one assumes). Does anybody know whether the 9560 is still available? Does Analog Devices make any other similar chips for generating PWM waveforms from digital or analog inputs?
