AD9670 data out stream

Dear All

I have a problem to correct configure tha AD9670.

If I configure the FCO in "continous mode", the FCO and the DCO signal go out correctly but the data(DOUT) are always zero. Istead if I configure FCO "only during burst" the DCO signal go out but FCO and DOUT are always zero.

I think that the AD9670 don't start correctly, but I'm sure that it is'n in stanby or powerdown mode.

Any suggestion?

  • Hi Ashraf,

I partially solve my problem, I think there is any problem with Software Tx trigger in 0x10C register.

Then I use external trigger and FCO only during burst (reg[0x19B] = 0x40), I have this situation:

    Now I have 3 question:

    1) Why DOUT is always zero?

    2) Why FCO stops after about 3ms? It seems not depend on POWER_STOP data (by changing it I have no change in burst duration). Also the clock is 24MHz and 2^15/24MHz is different from 3ms.

    3) I want an infinite duration of a burst after TX_TRIG, witch configuration I should use?

    Another doubt:

The receiver have 8 channel, when I configure, for example, a profile(decimator, demodulator frequency), a FIR coefficient, a  for a channel, is the same for all channel? This mean that all channels works with the same decimator, demodulator frequency, same FIR filter etc... or not?

    Best regards

    Piero
