AD9671 data rate

Hello,

In the data sheet of the AD9671 Page 6 you find: Four-lane mode, JESD204B lane rates = 1.6 Gbps/2.6 Gbps/1.6 Gbps/2.5 Gbps.

If you choose Mode 3 with 80MSPS you get the results of two ADCs on one lane. With 8B/10B encoding the data rate should be: 2*80*10^6*20=3.2 Gbps but in the data sheet you find 1.6 Gbps. Which is the right value?

    Hi BiK,

    Unfortunately the backend of the AD9671 can only support 65 MSPS max rate. the higher sampling rates are meant for oversampling and SNR gain but are not supported as output rates. The AAF before the ADC is also maxed out at 30 MHz cutoff and higher BW signals cannot be supported on this part, which is more than enough for diagnostic ultrasound signals that are the main application of this part.
