Front end circuit of LTC2291 for differential signal from Tuner

I am trying to pair this chip with the 25Msps or 40Msps version with Max2112 tuner for a software defined radio project.

The base band itself has I and Q output and each output provides differential output.

I read the datasheet, but There is not a lot information about how a actual differential signal source should be properly connected with front end circuit.

The IF signal should be below 20MHz.

I plan to use this circuit

and instead of having the other side connecting to ground, I am going to connect it to the negative output of differential signal.

Do you think this can work?

I saw it had a warning about distortion. How bad would it be? could you help me understand it better?  Will it affect the information in the IF?

Also I saw the resistor between VCM to the signal path is 1k. While the other circuit has 25ohm. What factors determine the value of the resistor?

Thank you for reading my post and hope I made myself clear.
