I am testing LTC2165 and I have some qusetions.
When I put DC into ADC, I expected that all bits are stable value.
However, I actually got low bits which are like random noise as you can see below
(I got those bits with FPGA chip(spartan6).
Could you give me answers why I got that result?
Even with a DC input the ADC will have enough thermal noise for the least significant bits to flip. There will be a Gaussian distribution of bits even with the ADC inputs grounded:
With a DC input it will have a similar distribution along with the noise of the DC source.
