AD9910 positive chirp with EVB

I am using the AD9910 evaluation board. I want to generate a positive frequency chirp of about 10MHz, starting at 150MHz. At the top limit it should fall immedately to lower limit and start again.

Questions:

1. Loading parameters, which data will make it to run again and again?

2. after loading parameters, which control starts the chirp?

3. Which control stops the chirp?

    In order to have your desired frequency chirp, the no-dwell high bit should be high.

    While the no-dwell high bit is set to high, the following are the answers to your questions:

    1. The DROVER should be passed to DRCTL in order to start the chirp again. Setting up both no-dwell bits (low and high) generates a continuous sweep that is different from the chirp that you want.

    2. A high on DRCTL starts the chirp.

    3. A low on DRCTL does not instantly stops the chirp on its current frequency but what it does is that the last chirp will execute up to the top limit and instantly goes to the start frequency and stays there.
