What is the programming language used in AD9910 ?

Hi,

        I am new to AD9910. I don't know how to use AD9910 and generate arbitrary signals using AD9910. I read the AD9910 data sheet up to the different modes of operation and mode priority. 

What is the hardware need to generate any arbitrary signal using AD9910?

    A better way to start with AD9910 is to try experimenting with the evaluation board. You can find it in the evaluation board site, With this hardware, you can try experimenting with the different operations of AD9910 conviniently. Within the baord, contains some exposed headers where you can use to connect with other microcontrollers. In our case, we have ADUCM3029 with the ADICUP3029 where you can use with to connect the SPI channels to the SPI headers found in the evaluation board.

    As summary, I recommend to have:

    1.) AD9910 Evaluation Board

    2.) Microcontroller/Microprocessor/FPGA that can send digital signals to the evaluation board. e.g ADICUP3029.

                         Thank you for the information provided to us. In our lab, we are going to use the FPGA Zed Board. What are projects can we perform using the Zed Board. Can you please us some of the good projects so that we could be helpful for our career?

    Can we use the AD9910 Evaluation Board for programming in the FPGA Zed Board?

    I'm really sorry for the late reply. You can use the evaluation board and can be interfaced quickly with the FPGA Zed Board. You can  use the IO in the FPGA board to provision an SPI, Parallel, and GPIO interfaces to the evaluation board. Please use the datasheet for the guidelines in using the: SPI and parallel(a.k.a. parallel port modulation). The GPIO's will be used for any other external controls needed by the AD9910 (e.g, Reset, profile control, power down. etc.)

    In terms of ideas, you can browse the product page of the part and look for application notes(example: AN-823: Direct Digital Synthesizers in Clocking Applications Time (Rev. 0)). Those would give you an idea on some of the use cases of DDS.
