ADM3053 Isolated CAN Transceiver with Isolated Power Supply
The ADM3053 is an isolated controller area network (CAN) physical layer transceiver with an integrated isolated DC/DC converter that complies with the ISO 11898 standard.
The device uses ADI's iCoupler technology to integrate dual-channel isolators, CAN transceivers, and Analog Devices' isoPower
DC/DC converters into a single SOIC surface-mount package. The on-chip oscillator outputs a square wave to drive the internal transformer to provide isolated power. The device operates from a single 5V supply and provides a fully isolated CAN solution.
The ADM3053 creates a completely isolated interface between the CAN protocol controller and the physical layer bus. It can operate at data rates up to 1Mbps.
The device features current limiting and thermal shutdown to prevent output shorts. The temperature range is specified over the industrial temperature range and is available in a 20-lead, wide body SOIC package.
