I need an offset power supply for APD, which is expected to be 180V/10mA, but the ripple requirement is very high, and I hope it is below 5mVpp，So I chose LT8365.
I've read through the datasheet（and very rewarding),But I have a question;
Why does the following topology specifically mention low ripple?Just because there's an RC filter in the back?Because I don't see any difference with the boost structure(Except boost doesn't have short-circuit protection)
I simulated the inductive ripple current and output ripple of the two, and there was hardly any difference(Both have RC filters added).
So my question is which topology is more appropriate, in my application(
