ADL8143 Data Sheet (Rev. 0) — Inconsistency between Table 8/9 and Figure 43/46 (IDQ vs. RBIAS)

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: ADL8143

Dear Analog Devices Support Team,

We are evaluating the ADL8143 (ADL8143ACPZN, data sheet Rev. 0, 7/2024) and found what appears to be an inconsistency in the quiescent current (IDQ) vs. bias resistor (RBIAS) data:

  1. Table 8 (page 14) states that at VDD = 1.5 V, RBIAS = 487 Ω gives IDQ = 35 mA. Figure 44 (IDQ vs. Supply Voltage, RBIAS = 487 Ω) agrees, showing ~35 mA at 1.5 V.
  2. However, in Figure 43 (IDQ vs. RBIAS, 0 Ω to 2 kΩ), the 1.5 V curve reads approximately 40 mA at RBIAS = 487 Ω — about 15% higher than Table 8. The same systematic offset (~15–16%) appears across the 1.2 V / 1.3 V / 1.5 V curves in Figure 43 and Figure 46 when compared against Table 8, Table 9, and Figure 44. For example, Table 9 gives 295 Ω → 35 mA at VDD = 1.2 V, while the 1.2 V curve in Figure 43 reads roughly 44 mA at 295 Ω.

Could you please clarify:

  1. Which data set represents the correct typical behavior — Table 8/9 (and Figure 44), or the curves in Figure 43/Figure 46?

Pin-Tse Yang
