I think there is too much capacitance and noise on the current source. That board was made to have a photodiode edge-mounted, but I suggest just using an input resistor to change a voltage into a current. Use a value maybe 2x the value of Rf, and put some grounded metal around the body of the resistor to kill any shunt C.
