The time signal is stored within the RAM in the component, and is equipped with a backup battery for power supply when the main power supply is unavailable to ensure that no data is lost. Possible scenarios that cause time data loss are as follows:
1. There was an undershoot of voltage when the main power supply was disconnected. When this undershoot voltage is lower than -0.3V, it results in internal data loss.
2. The voltage of the backup battery is too low. When the back up battery voltage is lower than 1.3V, data loss is a possible result.
3. When the main power supply disconnects, if the voltage drops too fast when it disconnects, it may also cause internal data loss. The Vpfmax-to-Vpfmin slew time usually needs to be larger than 300us.
