I have a LTC6990 that I'd like to use in a flyback circuit. I'm curious to know if the LTC6990 can directly drive an N-channel MOSFET?
Or will I need a gate driver between the LTC6990 & the MOSFET?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi,
Gate capacitance and threshold voltage plays an important role for this desicion.
LTC6990's output swing level can reach to supply voltage 5.5V max. Therefore, mosfet should have much lower threshold voltage to fully open the mosfet.
Having a fast rise time improve performance of the system, when the load capacitors increased, the slew rate of the LTC6990's output will be decreased.
LTSpice has model for LTC6990, you can simulate your sistem or only Mosfet and LTC6990.
Thanks,
