Hello,
I believe the LTC6952 and LTC6957 have a lot of design overlap, but they seem to allow for different input references, so I wanted to ask if they were truly different front ends or just specified differently?
The LTC6952 has FILTR and BST bits that can be set for low reference frequencies and slew rates, but the datasheet still specifies minimum input signal level of 0.5 Vpp, 20V/us in the specification table and later in the application information, says 6dBm minimum for single ended sine waves.
The LTC6957 has FILTA & FILTB pins that can be set for low reference frequencies and slew rates, and the datasheet specifies minimum input signal level of 0.2 Vpp and doesn't specify a minimum input slew rate or input power.
Are the front ends actually different between these two parts, or are they the same and specified differently? If I have a low power 10MHz signal, am I going to get equal performance from going directly into a LTC6952 vs an LTC6957 before the LTC6952?
Thanks,
Nino
