AD9517-3 no output

We are using AD9517-3 for clk generation. Until now we have successfully used OU0/OUT1 for LVPECL and OUT5 for LVDS&CMOS.

But we can't use OUT2&OU3,OUT4&OUT6&OUT7 for clk distribution. 

The value of registers are referred  to evaluation software and the registers map:

  • HI,

    from the file you sent, I see you basically use the AD9517-3 as a buffer. You apply a 4MHz clock to the CLK pins and you divide that clock to obtain some outputs.

    On CLK input pins, put the scope probe on the pins to see the clock meets the specification below, specially the input sensitivity and input level entries.

    OUT0 is an LVPECL output and the schematic uses the figure 73 from page 77 of the data sheet. This is good. So it makes sense to get outputs from OUT0.

    OUT1 has a LVDS schematic (like figure 74 in the data sheet), but OUT1 is a LVPECL output on the AD9517-1. So this is not OK.

    OUT5 has a LVDS schematic, but the output is set as CMOS in the configuration. You need to change it to LVDS or take out that 100ohm load R26.

    OUT2 and OUT3 are set as LVPECL in the chip, so they require a circuit similar to one of the figures 71, 72, or 73 from the data sheet.

    OUT4 and OUT6 are set as LVDS in software, so they need a 100ohm load like in figure 74.

    OUT7 is a CMOS output, so you should this clock with a scope probe.
