Our customer feedback that the received board is Rev.D., not matched with ADI website shown “Rev.E”.


EVAL-AD9549 Evaluation Board | Analog Devices


We are advised that he can’t use the old version since no related information for old version and software is also not suitable.


Could you help check and advise what's difference between Rev. D and Rev. E?

    I attach the schematic of the rev D AD9549A eval board.PDF
    

    The eval software is works with rev D board because I also procured myself an AD9549A eval board. I also received a rev D board and I was able to use the eval software.

    I attach the gerber files for rev D board, so he should have a reference for the board he has procured.
    

    I also wrote the attached document stating how to supply the eval board. I believe this should help the customer powering up the board in the right way and this will make the software to work.

    I believe the bigger question is why the customer choose the AD9549 and not for example an AD9542. The AD9542 is a far more advanced chip that should be also cheaper than the AD9549A
