ADV7403 STANAG Colour Issue.

Hi,

I have the following requirements for ADV7403:

I/P Video - STANAG 3350 with Sync On Green as Input to the Chip.

1)720x576i @ 50/25Hz(Class B)video resolution, Interlaced video input,RGB(STANAG Class B)
2)720x480i @ 60/30Hz(Class C)video resolution, Interlaced video input,RGB(STANAG Class C)

O/P Video - 8bit YCbCr 4:2:2, BT656 Format as output from the chip.

Hardware Connections:
We have custom hardware with ADV7403 chip whose input channel configuration for RGsB is given below

Ain1 - G and SOG
Ain2 - B
Ain3 - R

I have attached the scripts and corresponding Pictures of the output I have observed with the scripts.

Image 1 is the actual test pattern and Images 2-5 are the output observed with the scripts 2-5 respectively.

Image 2, obtained by script 2, has no color but we can observe different bars and Image 3 has only black and white bars .

In Image 4 there is more Yellow component, so the white bar is yellowish and all other bars have more yellow components and in Image 5 there is a color swap between yellow and blue bars and red and blue color bars.

I wanted to know how can I solve this issue using the script.

Please go through those scripts and let me know anything to be added or modified to those scripts.

  • Hello,

I have an update regarding the register configuration. We are able to get the output as shown in the below images.

The above images have yellowish color on them.

Our setup consists HDMI to CVBS converter, then is connected to CVBS to STANAG(RGsB) converter, whose output is given to ADV7403.

HDMI to CVBS converter gives a test pattern as shown in the 1st image when input is not connected to it. The first pixel of the test pattern consists

yellow color as in the above image. The test pattern also has pink dots at the bottom of the frame.

Also, I have attached the register configuration script, which we used to get the same.

Please go through the attached scripts and let us know any modification is required.

    Thank you.
