HMC7044 REF CLOCK CONFIG

Question

Hi 
 I have a few questions about the reference clock of HMC7044, and how to configure it. 
 1- Can I use the OH300-71003SV-100.0M oscillator with 100MHz sine output and 5 dBm amplitude for the second PLL via PIN OSCIN like the photo below? 
 2- Can I use the CPOUT1 pin from the HMC7044 to control the oscillator control voltage pin, is the output voltage of CPOUT1 suitable for the oscillator control voltage pin? 
 3- Is the oscillator output configuration suitable for the HMC7044 OSCIN pin?

You can use 100 MHz. Reference frquency selection is related with your VCO frequency. It is good to select an integer sub-multiple of VCO frequency as your reference frequency so that you can use high PFD frequency.

Hi, 
 1- Yes, you can use 5 dBm sinewave AC coupled configuration to drive OSCIN pin. 
 2- Control voltage of the part is specified from 0.3V to 3V and it is compatible with PLL1 output of HMC7044. 
 3- Block diagram seems good to configure PLL1 and PLL2.
