Is EVAL-AD9517-4 Set Up Wrong?

Hi seniors.

I'm trying to evaluate AD9517-4 using EVAL-AD9517-4 board and facing to a trouble.

At first, I tried to use example setting which put on ADI Web site; AD9517_4_EvalBoardExample_In20MHz_Out200MHz.stp.

# The file can be gotten from http://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/evaluation-documentation/AD9517-4_EB_Register.zip

But this setting file cause wrong phenomenon.

1. Around 230MHz wave output to OUT1 port (verified by Oscilloscope) but it should be 200MHz.

2. Part Number, where corner of lower right of AD9516/17/18 Evaluation Software, "AD9517-4" vary to "AD9517-3" by loading the example setting.(please see attached png file)

=> The evaluation software seem to recognize the board as AD9517-3...

I don't know what is wrong now, could you try it and point my wrong thing out?

Also I have concerned point.

PC could not find driver file first, so I searched the driver and adapted manually. The file is located C:\Program Files\Analog Devices\USB Drivers\LRF\ADI_CYUSB_LRF_x86.inf. Perhaps it may be wrong?

    Hello Masuda-san,

The AD9517 evaluation board appears to be connected correctly. One very easy way to determine this is the program the LD pin to be static HIGH using the evaluation software, and click "LOAD."  The LD LED on the evaluation board should illuminate.

However, it appears that you have a -3 evaluation board, not a -4. The easiest way to fix the setup file is to change the feedback (N) divider to 180 instead of 160. If you do that, and re-calibrate the VCO, the AD9517-3 should lock.

By the way, I also recommend choosing "Differential Mode" on the reference input, unless you have modified the evaluation board by removing the AC-coupling and transformer.
